Stanley Gershen left behind a successful career as founder and principal of two dress manufacturing companies in New York for a better life in the country. He bought a gentleman’s farm in the Berkshires to raise Herefords, horses, and a family . . . not necessarily in that order. He also established and operated a retail clothing store for many years.

Retiring in 1991, he enrolled in the University Without Walls program at the University of Massachusetts and developed a degree plan called "Counseling Adults in Transition." He later joined the Canyon Ranch health and fitness resort as a Program Coordinator, and was recognized in their magazine as "the pride of the Berkshires" and a role model for people of all ages.

Stanley was also selected as The Outstanding Older Worker from the State of Massachusetts. He was honored with a week-long trip to Washington, DC, feted at the White House, the Senate, the House, the National Press Club, and a 400 persons gala at historic Union Station. Upon returning to Massachusetts Stanley was honored at the state capitol.

When Stanley met Alex Giorgio and learned about the TypeE Personality, sparks of recognition and excitement flew. As a TypeE himself, Stanley believes in the importance of sharing this information with every TypeE he meets and getting this message out to as many people as possible.
